Meet Brooklyn Blu

Brooklyn Blu

Our beloved Brooklyn Blu, is a Blue Merle French Bulldog. She was born on April 25, 2022 in Hungry. She enjoys going for walks, hanging with the family and watching football games with the boys on Sundays (In her matching jersey of course.)

Although she has many wonderful personality traits, relaxed and patient are two of them we love the best. She is great with children as well as other pets and is an absolute sweetheart and has been the best edition to our family.

Her father, pictured to the left, was born in September 2021. He is a Blue Merle French Bulldog, which is where she gets her beautiful coat and Blue Merle genes from. Her mother, Emma (pictured to the right) is a beautiful, brown French Bulldog. If your considering adopting a puppy and would like to review one or both of their legal documents, we’d be more than happy to share them with you during your appointment.

Their laid back, lovable personalities make this breed an exceptionally perfect addition to your family/household.

If you’ve done your homework by now, you can agree that Blue Merle French Bulldogs are proud owners of one of the rarest coat colors of its breed. They take the spotlight naturally due to their unique coat colors and their charming personalities. They love to snuggle and generally enjoy being close or near their owners whenever possible. Due to this reason, they don’t typically make a good pick for people who live more than a busy lifestyle or tend to spend all their time away from home. You can rest assure they will patiently await their daily playtime with you and your family. Regardless of the coat color, French Bulldogs are witty, loyal, lovable and love to clown around. Their smaller size makes them a perfect fit for apartment living or smaller homes also.

What makes a Blue Merle?

Breeders produce Blue Merle by matching carriers of dilute and Merle genes. The Blue Merle pattern is said to be one of the most difficult to produce making them one of the rarest looking breeds. With this said, the selected dogs for mating must go through a series of important health checks before and after.

Merle is a genetic condition. This gene is inherited, so the puppies with this pattern will usually have light colored eyes and pink sensitive skin on some body parts. Usually the nose and paw pads. Puppies who have two Merle parents have a higher tendency to develop certain health issues so it’s very important that you are very careful when choosing a puppy to bring home.

Every dog comes with a set of genes inherited by both its mother and father. Since the Merle gene is dominant, the breeder selects one carrier of this gene for mating. We stand by our carefully selective process to ensure you have nothing but the best experience during your adoption time.
